•E. coli strains•
We use E. coli SCS1 (Stratagene) for high-throughput cloning and protein expression. Transformation competent cells already carry the pSE111 plasmid, that provides for overexpression of lac repressor and a rare tRNA. For labeling of proteins with seleno-methionine, the met-auxotroph strain B834 is used.
